8 faculty members win curriculum development grant
A grant that funds creative curriculum development within The Media School’s Journalism unit will support the creation of three new courses.
The Gretchen A. Kemp Faculty Development Award recognizes creativity and flexibility in teaching. Candidates submit proposals for curriculum development and/or research about teaching.
This year’s winners are:
- Professor of practice Joe Coleman, for developing a new four-credit field experience course, Environmental Reporting in Mexico.
- Associate professor Minjeong Kang, for creating a new 300-level Strategies for Fashion and Lifestyle PR course.
- Lecturer Dave Groobert, associate professor Galen Clavio, senior lecturer Steve Layton, professor of practice Bill Schwab, senior lecturer Bonnie Layton and professor of practice Elaine Monaghan, for developing course materials for Storylab 1.
