90 students receive Media School scholarships

Ninety Media School students were awarded a total of $302,000 in scholarships at the school’s annual scholarship ceremony Saturday in Presidents Hall.

Media School dean James Shanahan welcomed everyone to the ceremony, and assistant professor Jennifer Midberry and senior lecturer James Krause presided over the event.

The school presented awards representing 75 named scholarship funds, and many of the donors or their families were present for the ceremony, some sitting with the students who received their gifts.

Also during the celebration, seven students won Frances Wilhoit Research Paper Awards, and a number of students were inducted into academic honors societies.
