Associate Professor, Director Center for International Media Law and Policy Studies
Media School faculty include award-winning professionals with years of practical experience in their fields, as well as internationally ranked researchers.
Faculty study the ways that constitutions, statutes and regulations interact to define the protections for individual and institutional free expression and the limitations imposed by governmental bodies in the United States and globally. Particular emphasis in teaching and research is placed on understanding how emerging technologies challenge assumptions about the relationship between media and audiences and the implications for governance. Faculty also examine how communication networks develop and how ideals and reality are reconciled in a complex process over time.
