IDS wins national SPJ award for multimedia storytelling
A team of Indiana Daily Student journalists won a national award for multimedia storytelling from the Society of Professional Journalists.
“Indignity in death,” by Matt Cohen, BAJ’22; Mallorey Daunhauer, BA’21; and senior Carson TerBush, won the Best Use of Multimedia category in the Society of Professional Journalists’ Mark of Excellence awards.
IU had finalists in two other categories:
- Best All-Around Television Newscast: “IU NewsNet”
- General News Photography: Alex Deryn, “Indianapolis mourns FedEx shooting victims,” Indiana Daily Student
IU students won five categories in the Region 5 Mark of Excellence Awards earlier this year.
