Job description
The Tampa Bay Rays are looking for an individual to participate in an internship opportunity with the Rays Broadcasting department. This individual will work closely with department staff to enhance radio broadcasts, Rays Radio’s digital offerings, and assist with day-to-day operations.

Rays Radio broadcasts on a statewide network, satellite radio, MLB.com and mobile applications. Rays Radio includes 162 regular season games, all playoff games, select Grapefruit League games, as well as “This Week in Rays Baseball” and “Countdown to Opening Day” specials.
Responsibilities
- 40+ hour work week, depending on broadcast schedules and duties required by position
- Serve as a Production Assistant for all Rays Radio Broadcasts
- Record pregame and postgame audio from Rays and opponent
- Work remote radio broadcasts in the greater Tampa Bay area throughout the season
- Assist with managing and logging all radio live reads
- Write, edit, and produce radio spots
- Support Broadcasters, Producers, and Engineers with daily tasks
Qualifications
- Experience with…
- Radio remote broadcast equipment
- Audio editing software (Audition, Audacity, Cool Edit
- Uploading/distributing audio (Apple Podcasts, Megaphone, Soundcloud, etc.)
- Single and multi-camera video productions
- Video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, etc.)
- Social media platforms
- Knowledge of Major League Baseball and the broadcasting industry
- Valid driver’s license
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish)
All candidates must meet the following criteria
- Qualified candidate must be available the entire duration of the 2024 regular season
- Applicants must be able to work 40+ hours per week, including nights, weekends, and some holidays
- All candidates must have local housing
- Offers are contingent on a background check & driving record acceptable by the Rays
