Osgood’s ‘Just Like Me’ selected for Veterans Film Festival
Media School Professor Emeritus Ron Osgood’s documentary, “Just Like Me: The Vietnam War/The American War,” has been selected to play at the Veterans Film Festival in Los Angeles on Nov. 14. It will be screened at the Bob Hope Theater.
Osgood’s film, named one of the best documentaries of 2022 by Video Librarian, interweaves American and Vietnamese veteran and non-combat perspectives from all sides of the war. It focuses on the humanity of each side in an attempt to promote cross-cultural connection, empathy, and compassion.
The Veterans Film Festival is a platform for active-duty service members, veterans, and civilian filmmakers to share their stories. It aims to foster healing and raise public awareness about the challenges that veterans face. This year, the festival will be held Nov. 14-15.
