Ogan presents research on portrayals of immigrants, refugees
Professor emeritus Christine Ogan spoke at a panel in Bilbao, Spain, for the European Communication Research and Education Association conference, “Diaspora, Migration and The Media.”
The panel was based on a paper, “The Role of the U.S. Press in Promoting Differing Views of Immigrants and Refugees in the 2016 Election,” written by Ogan; Rosemary Pennington, MA’10, PhD’15, assistant professor at Miami University; Olesya Venger, assistant professor at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas; and Daniel Metz, BAJ’17, graduate student at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey.
