Kincaid wins Emmy for MLB Tonight work
Jay Kincaid, director of facilities and technology at The Media School, has won a Sports Emmy Award for his work on the team of MLB Tonight on the Major League Baseball Network.
MLB Tonight won the award for Outstanding Studio Show, Daily, during the awards ceremony at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City May 5.
Kincaid served as one of the directors for the series. He worked at WTIU from 1999-2014, where he earned several Emmy Awards for his work and his direction of network coverage of Olympic Games. He also received a national Emmy in 2012 for his work on MLB Tonight. This year’s award is his ninth Emmy win.
Kincaid was appointed to his Media School position in late 2014.
The Sports Emmy Award recipients were chosen by a Blue Ribbon Panel of industry peers. The awards recognize outstanding achievement by individuals and programs broadcast throughout the 2014 calendar year.
