IDS, Arbutus win top ICPA awards
The Indiana Daily Student and Arbutus took top honors in the Indiana Collegiate Press Association’s annual competition this week.
The IDS won first place in Newspaper Division 1 and Advertising, and second place in Online Publication. The Arbutus won first place in Yearbook.
The publications also won 76 individual awards.
Brook Baker Indiana Collegiate Journalist of the Year
Senior Emily Isaacman was named Brook Baker Indiana Collegiate Journalist of the Year. Isaacman was selected for her portfolio, including works published in the Indiana Daily Student and in Chalkbeat.

The IDS won first place in Advertising. It placed first in 11 categories and second in nine categories.
