Daunhauer places 2nd in OVPUE fine arts competition
Senior Mallorey Daunhauer won second place in the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education’s 2021 Fine Arts Award competition for her film, “Never Daunted.”
“Never Daunted” shares the story of Tom Morris, a Bloomington resident, IU athletic trainer and avid cyclist, who became paralyzed in a mountain biking accident in 2012. She created the documentary for senior lecturer Susanne Schwibs‘ Advanced Documentary Filmmaking class.
The Fine Arts Awards honor undergraduate students for creative works completed while studying on the IU Bloomington campus.
Daunhauer’s film was also nominated for the Lower Great Lakes Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ Student Production Award.
