Chamberlin, Daily win award from Religion News Association
Media School students Kaitlyn Chamberlin and Alexis Daily were awarded third place in the Chandler Excellence in Student Religion Reporting competition, hosted by the Religion News Association.
The award was for their story, “Mass Appeal,” which they wrote for the summer/fall 2016 issue of 812 The Magazine, a print and online publication that is the product of students in MSCH-J481 Creating an Indiana Magazine.
Chamberlin attended the RNA conference in Silver Spring, Maryland, last weekend to receive the award. The conference features religion writers from major newspaper and magazines, including The New York Times, The Atlantic, Boston Globe, The Associated Press and The Washington Post.
