During their three-year terms, they will attend twice-yearly board meetings, enhance student-alumni connections, review curricula and provide insight into the media industry.
The new board members are:
Marla Hudnall graduated from IU with majors in theater and telecommunications. After graduation, she worked in Chicago for a small production house, Film and Tape Works, as an assistant editor and field sound tech. In 2004, she was accepted into the Director’s Guild Training Program in Los Angeles, which gave her the opportunity to work as a trainee on shows such as “ER,” “7th Heaven,” “Cold Case,” “Dexter,” “Little Man,” “Standoff,” “Criminal Minds,” “NCIS” and “Just Legal.” In 2007, she joined the Director’s Guild of America as a second assistant director and has been working in Los Angeles ever since on various projects such as “CSI:NY,” “Justice,” “Worst Week,” “Raising Hope,” “Law & Order: LA,” “House,” “The Santa Clarita Diet,” “You’re The Worst,” “Another Period,” “GLOW,” “Brooklyn 99,” “Dolemite Is My Name” and, most recently, “SEAL Team.”
Max Lancaster is a producer for ArtCraft Entertainment in Austin, Texas, where he guides new game features through ideation, prototyping, implementation, testing and deployment. He also has experience designing, testing and making music and audio for games. He holds a B.S. in marketing from IU’s Kelley School of Business, and he completed a game design certificate in the former Department of Telecommunications, where he also served as president of Hoosier Games (now Gamedev@IU).
Morgan Taylor is an account manager for TikTok. Previously, she worked as a supervisor at Starcom, managing the local media investments for Chick-fil-A. She is currently on the Chicago Youth Programs Junior Executive Board and volunteers with Off the Street Club as a tutor.
Alicia Webb is a marketing and communications professional with experience in a wide variety of industries, including insurance, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals. Currently, she serves as director of communications for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association in Chicago. She began her career as a general assignment reporter with ABC News in Maryland. Webb has held roles in media relations, event planning and brand management with several organizations, including Allstate and Baxter. In her spare time, she provides strategic communications and public relations counsel to small companies and nonprofit organizations. A very proud Hoosier, she also serves on the board of directors for the IU Alumni Association Chicago Chapter. Webb loves news, sports, travel, politics and all things related to pop culture.
