About OPE!
OPE! is a music blog and newsletter operated by Brady Gerber, an LA-based music journalist. OPE! publishes daily reviews of new songs, and the weekly newsletter rounds up these reviews along with a curated list of favorite writings and links from the past week.
Position summary
OPE! is growing and is seeking a Digital Content Strategy college intern to help strategize and execute a plan to expand OPE!’s reach and readership. Measurements to track include website visitors, newsletter subscribers (free and paid), and content engagement.
Essential duties
• Create a SWOT analysis on the current state of OPE! compared to competition
• Research the latest tools and trends in blogging and newsletters
• Write, execute, and track an OPE! digital content strategy
• Lead OPE!’s social media channels (Bluesky, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc)
• Submit weekly reports on OPE! performance across various channels and metrics

• A passion for writing, music, or media • Availability to meet weekly over the phone to discuss reports and evolving to-do’s • A desire to learn with an openness to constructive feedback • Experience with, or willingness to learn, the following and more: WordPress, Substack, Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, Google Search Console, HootsuiteHow to apply
