Job description
YPI is seeking a passionate social media intern to join their fully-remote team on a part-time basis. This position will report to the program manager and work collaboratively with our small, dedicated team.
The social media intern will be involved in all facets of their social media marketing, including but not limited to content creation, marketing strategy, and analytics reporting. Whether you already have professional experience in social media, marketing, or communications or you’re excited to get started, the social media intern position is an excellent growth opportunity. This is a part-time spring internship with the possibility to extend full-time into the summer.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, create, and execute TikTok, Instagram/Reels content (video & static) aligned with brand voice while meeting current/evolving trends
- Support Program Manager in developing and implementing social campaigns to boost brand engagement
- Ability to work 10-12 hours each week. Please note: YPI is 100% remote and offers flexible working hours. Interns must be available between 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. ET for at least 2 hours per week to connect with our team
- Ability to make a commitment of at least 3 months, with possibility to extend
Required qualifications
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Experience creating TikTok content for personal and/or brand accounts, including editing within the TikTok app
- Creative, out-of-the-box thinker; someone who isn’t afraid to pitch their ideas and try new things
- Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely
- Excited about social media marketing and digital storytelling
- Proficient in Canva and Google Suite
- Preferred: experience with Hootsuite or willingness to learn
