Biography
Shitemi Khamadi is a Kenyan journalist and media development practitioner with over 15 years of experience. He has extensive experience in journalism practice, media development, program development, and management. Shitemi holds two Master’ Degrees, one in Digital Journalism from the Aga Khan University Graduate School of Media and Communication (GSMC), Nairobi, and another in Peace and Conflict Management from Kenyatta University. His undergraduate Degree is in International Relations from the United States International University (USIU).
He is currently a Ph.D. student with research interests in Journalism, Environmental Communication, Information Disorder, Media Effects, and Science Communication. He is dedicated to advancing the understanding of media roles, particularly how journalists and editors perform and conceive their roles in relation to these research themes. Shitemi is eager to connect with fellow researchers globally and explore collaborative opportunities that bridge academia and industry, contributing valuable insights to both.
