Biography
I am a first-year PhD student in the Media School. My research interests revolve around the relationship between aesthetics and politics within cinema studies. I am specifically interested in narrative/cultural studies applied to different genres and film formats – including horror and short films.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Audiovisual Production at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil and my master’s degree in Literary Studies at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. My professional experience as a filmmaker and researcher contributed to my perception of the importance of interdisciplinarity as a guiding principle for my work.
