Zega wins first-ever ACES Walsh scholarship
Senior Jamie Zega is the first-ever recipient of the Bill Walsh Scholarship, a national copy editing award from ACES: The Society for Editing.
She was awarded $3,000, plus sponsorship to attend the ACES’s annual conference in April.
The scholarship is awarded in honor of Bill Walsh, a Washington Post copy editor and author of three editing books who died in March 2017.
An Ernie Pyle Scholar, Zega served as editor-in-chief of the Indiana Daily Student this past fall. She is an editing assistant for The Media School’s communications team. This summer, she’ll be a multi-platform editing intern at The Washington Post.
