Undergraduates to present at International Women’s Day Conference
Five Media School undergraduate students will speak at Saturday’s International Women’s Day Conference.
Lydia Riley, Kenysha Davis, Jaeda Mason and Katherine Liu will present their 2019 Stories of Peace video project in a panel session, “Stories of Peace: Empowering Women and Girls in Bloomington, Indiana.” The project captured a local Girl Scout group’s journey to learning about women and girl’s empowerment in Bloomington. Katie Beck, associate director of student services, experiential education, will also be a part of the presentation.
In Sharon Hsu’s session, “Re-defining Success,” she will discuss her experience with various student organizations and examine expectations and definitions of success through the scope of women’s empowerment.
The conference is 1-6 p.m. at the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies.
