Three students awarded scholarships for Game Developers Conference
Three IU students received the Unity Student Scholarship, which awards all-access passes to the Game Developers Conference to 50 students nationwide.
The Game Developers Conference, scheduled for March 19-23 in San Francisco, is the largest annual gathering of professional video game developers. Students and faculty attend the conference each year to participate in workshops and network with industry professionals.
The scholarship was awarded to students who submitted outstanding game design projects. Winners from IU are:
- Kees Luyendijk, graduate student in The Media School
- Rajin Shankar, sophomore in the School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering
- Alex Van Halen, senior in The Media School
Devin Good, a junior in The Media School, received an honorable mention, earning him an expo pass for the conference.
