Sun to explain China’s aging society
Shaojing Sun, associate professor at the Fudan University Journalism School in Shanghai, will lead The Media School’s research talk at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 4 in the Radio Television Building 226.
His talk, “Media Use, Aging, and Life Quality: A Report of Chinese Elderly,” will look at the population size of older people in China and the country’s speed of societal aging.
Sun will discuss the difference between chronological aging and cognitive aging, and how the media actually diminishes the latter and improves the quality of life for seniors.
The talk, part of the school’s Brown Bag series, is free and open to the public.
