Student-designed games demo in Next Fest event
A game designed by IU students is being celebrated at Steam’s Next Fest, where hundreds of games provide demos and developer streams.
The game Possession Obsession is taking part in the event, which runs Feb. 21-28.
- Created by Media School and Luddy School students Cole Bontrager, Rhys Fehrenbach, Brock Hamman, Daniel Kareken, Noah Kender and Nathaniel Myer
- 2-4 player local multiplayer party game
- As interns, players compete for a coveted position at the infamous HELLC. Utilize characters’ demonic powers and possess mortals to complete the boss’s tasks in any way possible.
- Capstone project for a game design workshop group
Meanwhile, another game designed by IU students is scheduled for early access. “Hamster Blitz!” will be available on Friday, Feb. 25.

- Players defend their household from waves of devious rats.
