Ogan presents doctoral seminars in Belgium
Professor Emerita Chris Ogan presented three one-hour doctoral seminars on intercultural communications at the Faculty of Social Science, KU Leuven, Belgium, earlier this month.
The seminars were “The Cultural Issues Occurring Within and Across Cultures,” “Socio-Relational Issues in Intercultural Communication and the Role of Perceptions” and “Verbal and Nonverbal Codes We All Use to Communicate Meaning Across Cultures.”
Ogan was a professor in the former School of Journalism, and in the School of Informatics and Computing Science. She served as the associate dean for graduate studies and research in the School of Informatics from 2000 to 2003.
Ogan’s research interests combine information and communication technologies with international social and political issues, as well as gender equity in communication.
