Ogan paper at IAMCR conference
Professor Emerita Christine Ogan presented a paper, “Changes in Social Media Use and Other Forms of Participation in the Turkish and Kurdish Diaspora: The Impact of Gezi on Attitude and Behavioral Change,” at a panel in Leicester, England, July 27-31.
The panel was part of the International Association for Media and Communication Research’s 2016 conference, “Memory, Commemoration and Communication: Looking Back, Looking Forward.” It was included within the Diaspora and Media Working Group, which focuses on diasporic communities and their experiences with the media.
Ogan’s co-authors are Leen S. J. d’Haenens and Roya Imani Giglou, both of Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. They also participated in the panel.
