Metzgar receives research award
Associate professor Emily Metzgar has received a Spring 2016 Individual Research Award from IU’s Institute for Advanced Study.
Metzgar received the award for her research project, Journalism With Purpose. The project looks at popular topics in policy discussions, political debate and media coverage in international broadcasting.
IAS Individual Research Awards support the research needs of tenured associate professors, providing funds up to $3,000 over a two-year period. Metzgar will have the option to compete for a renewal of her IAS award for an additional two years based on progress reports that she will produce.
