Metzgar presents, moderates at international studies conference
Associate professor Emily Metzgar participated in the International Studies Association’s annual conference in February in Maryland.
As part of Metzgar’s involvement in the conference, she presented papers “A Long & Winding Road: Origins of the Contemporary Structure for U.S. International Broadcasting” and “Willing Interpreters & Receivers: American JET Program Alumni & the U.S.-Japan Relationship.”
She also moderated a panel discussion called “Information & Communication Technology” and chaired a panel called “Information & Power: The Dark Side of International Communication.”
Metzgar was named program chair for the International Communication Section, which will require her to organize up to 35 panels for the International Communication Section at the 2018 ISA conference.
