Major article part of journal compilation
A study by associate professor Lesa Hatley Major will be included in an upcoming compilation of influential studies from Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly, the journal of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
Major’s article, “The Mediating Role of Emotions in the Relationship between Frames and Attribution of Responsibility for Health Problems,” examines news consumers’ emotional responses to stories about obesity and lung cancer. It was originally published in a 2011 issue of Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly. Its upcoming appearance is part of the journal’s “virtual theme collection” project, which uses topic headings to index some of the publication’s significant offerings online.
