Lynch wins top paper awards at BEA
Doctoral candidate Teresa Lynch will receive a top paper award at the 2017 Broadcast Education Association annual conference April 22-25 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Lynch won top paper in Gaming as Emotional Demand, top overall paper and top student paper for her research, “Playing with Emotion: A Framework for Investigating Emotion in Video Games.” These awards are part of the conference’s Video Games Research Symposium.
Also, alumnus Nicholas Matthews, MA’11, PhD’16, won top paper in Gaming as Social Demand for his research, “Investigating How Non-Player Characters Influence Socially-Strategic Moral Decisions.” He currently is an assistant professor at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
