Lu, Heatherly, Lee paper looks at use of social networking
Doctoral students Yanqin Lu and Kyle Heatherly and associate professor Jae Kook Lee are co-authors of a paper that was accepted for publication Jan. 23 in the journal Computers in Human Behavior.
“Cross-Cutting Exposure on Social Networking Sites: The Effects of SNS Discussion Disagreement on Political Participation,” used a national survey to find that Web surfers who face disagreement on SNS during political conversations are less likely to post political input again.
The scholars’ paper will be published in Volume 59 of the journal to be released in June.
