List: Media internship, scholarship applications offer opportunities for students
The Media School and other organizations offer students scholarship and internship opportunities. Submit your application before the respective deadlines to qualify for these opportunities:
Scholarships
2022-23 undergraduate scholarships
Deadline: Jan. 23
The Media School awards more than $300,000 in scholarships annually to undergraduate students. By completing this general application, you will be considered by our scholarship committee.

Ian J. Skjodt Scholarship
Deadline: Feb. 1
The Ian J. Skjodt Scholarship, offered by the Central Indiana Community Foundation, is a full-tuition scholarship for Media School students who are Indiana residents. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Krane Scholarship
Deadline: Feb. 1
The Krane Scholars Award provides $1,500 to support a student project at the intersection of journalism, information and technology.

Ross Hazeltine Travel Scholarship
Deadline: Feb. 6
The Ross Hazeltine Travel Scholarship provides funding for travel or study outside the territorial limits of the United States, Canada or Mexico. Applicants should be in their senior year 2021-22 and planning to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism by August. Travel time is for a two-month minimum.

Indiana Broadcasters Association scholarship
Deadline: Feb. 7
The Indiana Broadcasters Foundation is accepting applications for its 2022 College Scholarship Program and will award $50,000 to deserving students at Indiana colleges and universities. Applicants must be full-time college students with plans to continue as a full-time college student in fall 2022.
Internships
Pulliam newspaper internship
5 p.m. Jan. 28
The HSPA Foundation is accepting applications for the Eugene S. Pulliam journalism internship program. Winning students will work paid internships for 10 weeks at daily and nondaily newspapers in Indiana during the summer of 2022. Opportunities include news reporting, photography/multimedia, digital and related jobs.

Office of the Mayor
Digital Marketing Internship
Deadline: 5 p.m. Jan. 31
The digital marketing intern will assist with social media presence, use multimedia, support the digital brand manager, assist with crisis communication and provide graphic assistance to the city website and affiliate sites. This is a paid internship, and the intern will work 8-12 hours per week up to May 31.

Indiana Public Interest Research Group
Campaign internship
Interns will spend 10-15 hours per week attending training, recruiting volunteers and working on community-based projects and campaigns.

The College of Arts and Sciences Themester Internships
Outreach and communications, design and podcast internships
Deadline: Outreach and communications and design: Jan. 31
Podcast: March 1
The College of Arts and Sciences’ 2022 Themester will be “Identity and Identification.” There are available internships in outreach and communications, design and podcasting. Interns will be paid $12 per hour.
