Journal publishes Conway article on oral history in classrooms
Associate professor Mike Conway is author of “Oral History Inverviews as a Classroom Tool,” published the most recent issue of Historiography in Mass Communication.
The paper discusses the use of oral history interviews in lectures to engage students during classes on media and media history. Conway uses examples from his own classroom sessions to demonstrate the ways in which videotaped interviews can enhance learning for his students.
Conway worked in broadcast news for nearly 20 years. He has written multiple books on the history of broadcast and television, and continues to research journalism history.
