Gonzales’ work looks at cellphone access, poor populations
Assistant professor Amy Gonzales will speak on how not having a phone deprives people living in poverty of valuable resources.
She will present her work, “Maintaining Cell Phone Access for Health and Well-Being: Technology Maintenance,” at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 2 in Wells Library 030 as part of The School of Informatics and Computing / Information and Library Science Colloquium series.
Gonzales’ study looks at the effects lack of access to technology has on the identity, social support and well-being of the poor.
