Game design program ranked among top 50 by Princeton Review

The Media School game design program was ranked 47th of the top U.S. game design programs and 13th out of the top programs in the Midwest by The Princeton Review.
“I’m pleased that IU continues to be recognized nationally for our innovative and multidisciplinary game design program,” said Will Emigh, director of the B.S. in game design and senior lecturer at The Media School.
This is the second year that the program has received recognition in a national ranking. The Princeton Review compiled its lists based on surveys conducted in 2024 of administrators at 150 institutions offering game design coursework in the U.S., Canada, and some countries abroad.
“Being on this list again highlights how many opportunities The Media School provides for our students,” Emigh said.
The Bachelor of Science in game design program has been a part of The Media School since 2015.
