Fargo chapter in book on freedom of expression
Associate professor Anthony Fargo is author of a chapter in András Koltay’s new book, Comparative Perspectives on the Fundamental Freedom of Expression.
Fargo’s work, “ISP Liability in the United States and Europe: Finding Middle Ground in an Ocean of Possibilities,” looks at the varying approaches taken by the U.S. and the European Union to force accountability on Internet service providers with contributions from third parties that are libelous.
He recommends multiple ways in which the efforts of the U.S. and the union can work better with the state of heightened connectivity in technology.
Fargo is also the director of the Center for International Media Law and Policy Studies at IU.
