Dhakal joins 2025 IU Venture Fellows Cohort
Master’s student Tanka Dhakal has been selected as a 2025 IU Venture Fellow, joining the fourth and largest-to-date cohort of the program. IU Ventures, Indiana University’s early-stage venture and angel investment arm, made the announcement Jan. 7.
The year-long IU Venture Fellows program immerses graduate students in the venture capital industry through the National Venture Capital Association curriculum, real time projects, and deal exposure. The program will be run by Mark Need, clinical professor of law and director of the Elmore Entrepreneurship Law Clinic at the IU Maurer School of Law.
Dhakal is also a fellow at the Arnolt Center for Investigative Journalism. He is interested in using investigative reporting techniques to bring overlooked stories of local communities to light. He has experience reporting from Nepal and beyond as an independent journalist and has covered issues relating to the environment, science migration, psychological health, and marginalized communities.
