More than $300,000 in scholarships were awarded to 102 Media School students during the annual scholarship ceremony April 9 in Alumni Hall at the Indiana Memorial Union.

The school presented 128 awards representing 67 named scholarships, and many of the donors or their families were present for the ceremony, some sitting with the students who received their gifts.

Among the recipients were 18 incoming freshman; some students won more than one scholarship.

Also during the celebration, four students won Frances Wilhoit Research Paper Awards, and professor of practice Tom French won the Gretchen A. Kemp Teaching Award.
