“Errol Morris: A Lightning Sketch” screening
The Center for Documentary Research and Practice and the College Arts and Humanities Institute are sponsoring a visit by Charles Musser, a film historian and documentary filmmaker.
Musser will screen his film “Errol Morris: A Lightning Sketch” (2014), in which he and filmmaker Carina Tautu interview Errol Morris at Fourth Floor Productions.
Musser’s other films include “An American Potter” (1976) and “Before the Nickelodeon: The Early Cinema of Edwin S. Porter” (1982). He also co-founded the New Haven Documentary Film Festival in 2014 and is a professor at Yale University.
Musser will also give a lecture at 5:30 p.m. March 21 in Swain West 007 as part of his visit.
