Causes and Cures for the Journalism Crisis
Doc Searls, a veteran journalist and director of ProjectVRM at Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society, will speak on “Causes and Cures for the Journalism Crisis.”
Searls’ talk will focus on how journalism is suffering in the early years of the digital age and what might be done about it.
Searls also calls for and is working on technologies that give people better ways to signal their demands for personal privacy and genuine journalism.
The event is co-sponsored by the Ostrom Workshop. In addition to his talk at The Media School, Searls will be giving the sixth annual Vincent and Elinor Ostrom Memorial Lecture at 6 p.m. Oct. 9 in the Maurer School of Law Moot Court Room.
