“A Life Without Words (Una Vida sin Palabras)” screening
“A Life Without Words” (2011) is a documentary depicting the lives of Dulce Maria and her brother Francisco, two deaf adults living in rural Nicaragua without any form of written, spoken or signed language. When a deaf sign-language teacher named Tomasa arrives in their village, she takes it upon herself to teach them their first words.
The screening is hosted by The Media School’s Center for Documentary Research and Practice.
