Stephen Thrasher: War, Crime, and HIV
Writer and editor Stephen Thrasher will give a talk titled War, Crime, and HIV: An Accounting on AIDS and Racism in the United States.
The talk is part of the Center for Research on Race and Ethnicity in Society speaker series.
Thrasher is an assistant professor of journalism at the Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications, where he is the inaugural Daniel H. Renberg Chair of social justice in reporting.
He has reported on the Black Lives Matter movement for five years. His research and reporting interests include critical race theory, public health, LGBTQ histories and gender identities.
