Graduation rates are calculated by dividing the number of graduating students by the number of students in a cohort.

Graduated journalism includes B.A.J. degrees in journalism earned from Bloomington campus from tracking start term through Aug. 31 of the tracking year (e.g., for the fall 2014 cohort, from Sept. 1, 2014, through Aug. 31, 2017, for “after second year”; from Sept. 1, 2015, through Aug. 31, 2018, for “after third year,” etc.). It excludes:

  • degrees awarded prior to Sept. 1 of the cohort year (e.g., for fall 2014 cohort, excludes degrees awarded prior to Sept. 1, 2014).
  • degrees earned from regional campuses.
