Tim and Elizabeth Dugan
Tim and Elizabeth Dugan met as undergrads at Stanford University. When their eldest son, Michael, wanted to study sports journalism, he chose The Media School, and the Dugans quickly settled into the Hoosier family.
The Dugans are passionate about education and were proud to create the Dugan Family Internship Fund to support students pursuing internships in the media field, with a special focus on sports media.
Tim Dugan is managing partner at Water Street Healthcare Partners, a strategic investor focused exclusively on the health care industry. He has more than 25 years of experience building market-leading health care companies. He studied electrical engineering and economics at Stanford and earned an MBA from the University of Chicago.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree in political science from Stanford and a master’s degree in teaching from National Louis University, Elizabeth was a teacher in the historically underserved west side of Chicago. Both Tim and Elizabeth were actively involved in the formation of Providence Englewood Charter School, where Elizabeth volunteered for eight years both in the classroom and as a mentor for students transitioning to high school.
Tim and Elizabeth have three sons: Michael Dugan, BAJ'19, and twins Jackson and William.
