Part of the Media Scholars program
“I’m from Columbus, Ohio, and I’m a junior majoring in media advertising with a creative concentration. I’m in the Media Scholars program, which has been the best. My mentor, Jay Kincaid, has been able to connect with us more personally. Being a freshman during COVID was really hard, but he encouraged us to reach out, which has been super beneficial because that’s what’s made me discover so many opportunities. I’m in Women in Media and work as a Media School ambassador, where I give tours to prospective freshmen and work at Media School events. I’m also the vice president of my sorority, Chi Omega.
I feel like we are now at a media frontier where there are so many opportunities and platforms to tell stories that the possibilities are endless. With the world being in the midst of a media revolution, we are constantly surrounded and overwhelmed with millions of messages on a daily basis. That being said, my passion and what excites me is creating messages that make an audience stop long enough to look at them.
I would love to work for an ad agency in some sort of creative director position some day. I think it’s important to explore multimedia projects and not just stick to one medium. I love telling stories for other people, whether that be other companies, people or organizations. I am currently in the process of creating a website to enhance my brand and include a portfolio. It is expected to launch very soon.”
