Student to publish paper in the IU Journal of Undergraduate Research
A student in Michael Leonard’s J360 Writing Columns and Op-Eds course has authored a paper that will be published in the IU Journal of Undergraduate Research.
Therin Showalter wrote “The Effect of Whiteness and Attempts to Preserve It on Political Division in the United States” for the class and then submitted it to be considered for publication by the journal. He was honored alongside other student contributors and faculty mentors in a banquet last Monday, April 23.
Leonard is a freelance writer and adjunct instructor at the Media School; Showalter will attend the University of Nevada as a graduate student in creative writing next year.
