Moorman to lead Platform research team
Associate professor Marissa Moorman will lead one of the first research teams for IU’s new collaborative research laboratory, Platform.
Funded in part by a $1 million grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Platform establishes interdisciplinary, faculty-led research teams to study subjects in contemporary arts and humanities. Its first two research teams are Indiana Studies 2019: The Secret History of Indiana and Global Popular Music 2019: Mediating Music, which Moorman is leading.
The Global Popular Music team is ultimately working toward answering one main question: What is the relationship between performance and discourse?
