Graney participates in archives conference
Archivist Brian Graney participated in a panel discussion, “Paths to Discovery: Programs Bringing African American Collections to Stakeholder Communities,” at the 2017 Midwest Archives Collection in Omaha, Nebraska April 6-8.
The panel focused on the difficulties of balancing the recent robustness of African American representations in historical archives with the historic underrepresentation in academic settings.
Graney, who is associate director and senior archivist at the school’s Black Film Center/Archive, discussed the BFC/A’s academic and public programming to stimulate interest in organization and its collections.
