Bassett named runner-up in Safer Together contest
Jack Bassett, BA’20, MS’25, was named one of the three runners-up in the IU Libraries’ 2025 Safer Together: An Archival Remix Contest for his video “You Are Not Alone.” For the third annual archival remix contest, participants submitted a short video featuring archival footage to highlight the sharp increase in mental health issues among IU Bloomington students in recent years.
The donor-funded contest from IU Libraries Moving Image Archive judged submissions on originality, quality, appropriateness, and effectiveness of raising awareness around mental health. Each runner-up, including Bassett, received a prize of $500.
Bassett’s research interests include documentary and nonfiction production, journalism, filmmaking, and broadcasting news.
