812 magazine wins AEJMC awards
Two stories from 812: The Magazine won honors from the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication as part of its annual student magazine contest. Both stories appeared in the Winter/Spring 2017 issue.
Stories honored are:
- “A Place to Call Home,” by Allison Underhill, third place in Articles – People.
- “The Call of the Owls,” by Keristen Lucero and Emily Berryman, third place in Articles – First Person.
Media School students enrolled in the Creating an Indiana Magazine class produce an issue of 812 over the course of the semester. Senior lecturer Nancy Comiskey, who retired this spring, developed the course.
