This lab is configured for content analysis of video media. Desktop computers are equipped to record, store, and replay a variety of video media, including television programming. Network attached storage devices provide the memory required for large scale, multiyear, longitudinal analyses.
SnapStream is a tool for content analysis research. Like a DVR, it can capture multiple TV stations across multiple days/shows/times. Using Closed Captioning, transcripts can then be downloaded and searched by topic or term for coding and analysis.
The ICR also provides MAXQDA Analytics Pro software, a tool for qualitative, quantitative and statistical data analysis research.
