Special journal edition focuses on Africa, media
The latest edition of the Communication, Culture and Critique journal, published March 1, features a special issue, “Africa, Media and Globalization.”
Professor Radhika Parameswaran is editor of the journal, one of the flagship publications of the International Communication Association. She said she aimed to fill the gap in research on communication, media and globalization by focusing on Africa.
Parameswaran collaborated with Leslie Steeves, professor at the School of Journalism and Communications at the University of Oregon, who served as guest editor for this project.
Doctoral students Mohamed El Marzouki and Roshni Verghese helped Parameswaran assemble the special edition.
