David Krane
David Krane, BAJ’94, is CEO and managing partner at Google Ventures, where he has built his life and work around the art of investing — not only in capital, but in deep and long-standing relationships.
After stints at Qualcomm and Apple, David joined Google in 2000 (as employee number 84). Rising to lead Google’s global communications and public affairs group, he guided the company’s growth into a multibillion-dollar global enterprise. He currently balances his time between directing GV’s global activities and leading investments, excited by consumer-focused entrepreneurs working to improve critical aspects of people’s daily lives.

Biz Carson, BAJ’12, is a reporter at Bloomberg News covering wealth in Silicon Valley.
Biz spent the past decade in the Bay Area covering venture capital and startups for publications including Forbes, Business Insider, Protocol, and Gigaom.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism, Spanish, and international studies from IU.
Kristi Oloffson
Kristi Oloffson, BAJ’09, is senior manager of customer marketing at Sigma Computing.
Kristi is a writer, content strategist, and video producer who brings data to life through storytelling. She was a journalist and editor at The Wall Street Journal and TIME magazine before moving to brand marketing for Google and YouTube.
Kristi earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from IU.
Omar Sosa-Tzec
Omar Sosa-Tzec, PhD’17, is an associate professor of visual communication design at San Francisco State University's School of Design.
Omar studies delightful design and experiences — how human creation's appearance, function, and behavior captivate, surprise, impress, amuse, and reassure — and their connection with living a happy and flourishing life. He’s developed curriculum and taught design topics in various universities in Mexico and the United States for more than 15 years.
He earned his doctorate in informatics (human-computer interaction) from IU and holds master’s degrees in information design and computer science.
